Here’s a bit about me
I am a passionate advocate for tabletop gaming and its transformative benefits for all ages. With a deep-rooted love for games, dice, and dragons, my journey into the world of gaming began in childhood, with family games that sparked a lifelong passion for play and connection.
After spending over 13 years as a veterinary nurse and an additional 14 years in a training college in the North West, I discovered a thriving community of board gamers that reignited my interest in games. Regular evenings with friends soon evolved into attending a weekly board game club and the creation of a local group dedicated to sharing the joy of gaming. Additionally, I embraced opportunities to volunteer, including running an after-school club at my children’s primary school and joining a Dungeons and Dragons group (although I’m still not good at this one!).
In March 2023, I was inspired by Nigel and Nicola at AireCon Harrogate and, impressed by the ethos of Imagination Gaming, I sought to bring their innovative approach to the North West. After balancing a college role alongside family commitments and the budding collaboration with Imagination Gaming, I made the decision to fully commit to this exciting new path.
As part of the Imagination Gaming team, I am dedicated to helping children learn through play, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and social interaction. Believing that tabletop gaming creates welcoming spaces where everyone can benefit from shared experiences, I am committed to inspiring a community of gamers through strategic board games, learning experiences, and engaging card games.
With a deep appreciation for the power of games to spark imagination and enhance children’s learning through play, I look forward to countless new adventures filled with laughter, friendships, and hopefully, a few more dice along the way!
Back to About UsWe have had weekly Imagination Gaming sessions in school since January which have been a huge success. In a short space of time we could see an improvement in the children’s concentration, turn taking and social skills when they were playing games and working with the Imagination Gaming Team.
