So another games expo, another fantastic event, another busy and long weekend.
Now that the dust has settled, we are able to judge how this year’s event went and we are able to look at how the expo has grown and evolved over the last several years. It always provides provides us with a great sense of pride as well as pleasure to see ever increasing numbers of familiar faces as well as hundreds of new faces coming along to the event and the family zone.
When we consider that at this years event there was more than ever to do for families, more companies to visit, new games to be released and things to do, it is astonishing to think that at the event on both Friday and Saturday we had, for long periods, no spare seats in the family zone at all, providing concrete proof that we are doing something right and that it is something that families value.
With 8 giant games in the zone this year and nearly 150 new games from the Imagination Gaming family and education game awards list, every family would have more than enough to do whilst at this year’s event, which showed, as we had people spend huge amounts of time with us and then return to play yet more games on a following day.
This year within the zone we provided a rolled banner - The Table Cloth Of Fame - on which all attendees could write comments, the names of their favourite games and so on and it was great to see how full that was at the end of the three days.
We have also put together a video containing snapshots, photos, videos and comments received from all those of you who attended the event and are putting this up at the same time as this blog:
As always, we want to thank the Expo team, the companies that submitted games in to this years awards, those groups that we work closely with and especially our team on the zone who work extremely hard for many hours, without them we couldn’t do it.
Thanks to everyone who came along and joined in….see you all next year ;)
