Layers is a pattern reproduction game in which players must rotate, flip and stack each of their 5 Layers in order to reproduce a pattern common to all players. The sooner you get there, the better your score will be. With 3 different difficulty levels, the missions in Top Down require you to use 3, 4 or 5 layers. Arrange the different layers in the exact order and meaning required by the Mission. Each layer has a different colour pair on the front and back. Therefore, pay attention to the patterns of the layers and stack them accordingly. Reproduce the pattern in the time available and score points. Bonus points are awarded depending on the resolution speed!
To play the game, you need to be observant and organized. But don’t worry, if these are not your strengths, playing the game will improve these skills. Spatial awareness (2D & 3D) will be also improved, which is something that digital games on tablets can’t teach.
Before playing the game, you its a good idea to sort your layer sheets, so you are able to grab them quickly. Then, when the mission card is revealed, you need to take the time to observe, before moving anything. Then, you choose the corresponding layers starting with the first viewable layer from the mission card.
