A fast action simple yet tactical football(soccer) card game.
Here's what the creator of KIX had to say about the game:
1. What does the game involve?
2 players, 2 teams with 2 playing boxes that allow you to play on the go. It simply emulate the cut and thrust of a football match with top trumps simplicity yet poker like bluffing and hand management tactics.
2. What skills can you build/gain from the game?
If you want to be good at the game and win then learning to think ahead and try to predict the situation of the game and choose your cards accordingly. Tactical thinking, bluffing your opponent and remembering what’s been played are also crucial skills you’ll learn.
3. What's your favourite tactic or are there any tricks you can teach us?
One of the best tactics is the play a terrible midfielder then defender to let your opponent in on goal then smash them with a big goalie. It’s a great way to get rid of a couple of bad cards safely.
4. Do you have any funny/heartwarming stories about a game of KIX?
I played a 5 a side game with 8 year old girl who totally destroyed me… I was genuinely try to win! She has never let me forget it!
I love watching sport and love playing games and inventing things. As I saw no decent competitive sports games on the market I thought I’d develop my own. KIX is the result and it is so simple to learn yet has all the stress and tension that sports give you. I genuinely enjoy playing it still and it stresses me out as much as watching the England football team does!!
