Gobbit is a party game that’s accessible for everyone. The gameplay rests on the principle of the food chain and invites players to hit the cards of their adversaries to attack them, or their own card to defend themselves. Fast-moving and intuitive, the matches are short and offer an incomparable gaming experience.
Boasting a great scope for progression, Gobbit guarantees complete replayability thanks to its fun and addictive mechanics. To adapt to the largest number of people, three gameplay modes are offered: beginner, normal and expert. The beginner mode, accessible from ages 6+, is also perfect for family game nights, festivals and events; it's easy to pick up and play immediately.
1. What does the game involve?
Recognition, reaction & reflexes! Based on the food chain the players need to spot their prey while being alert of their predators on the table, and hunt/defend their own cards in time!
2. What skills can you build/gain from the game?
Observation & reaction skills are trained in Gobbit, the more you play the better you get!
3. What's your favourite tactic or are there any tricks you can teach us?
There is no specific tactic you can apply, but I recommend to remain calm while playing to avoid mixing up animals and colours!
4. Do you have any funny/heartwarming stories about a game of Gobbit?
It was a highlight for us when we discovered that Matt Edmondson was a massive fan of our Gobbit - in fact, he loved it so much he took the game while working on the Xtra Factor and made a version replacing the animals with people who worked on the show, and made sure everyone got a copy when the show wrapped!
