It’s a sneaky, social, deduction game. If you’re the chameleon: don’t get caught and work out the secret word. Everyone else: find the chameleon without giving away the secret word.
Here's what the creator's of The Chameleon had to say about the game!
1. What does the game involve?
One person is the Chameleon. Their job is to stay hidden and work our the secret word. Everyone else is trying to work out who the Chameleon is without giving away the secret word.
2. What skills can you build/gain from the game?
Quick thinking. Staying cool under pressure. Word play. How to get your voice heard. Deduction.
3. What's your favourite tactic or are there any tricks you can teach us?
If you are the Chameleon, pretend to study the Topic Card as if you really know what the secret word it. If you aren't the Chameleon, often the least argumentative person in the group is guilty as they are trying not to draw attention to themselves.
4. Do you have any funny/heartwarming stories about a game of The Chameleon?
It’s always pretty funny when someone has located the wrong secret word, even though they aren’t the Chameleon, and starts giving out really strange clues. (You’ll have to play it to really understand what we mean!).
