With two fantastic games which are only proving to be more and more popular, Korean games company, G Game, talk to us about why they created Rainbow 35 and what's on the horizon...
1. Why did you create this game?
My friend recommended that I make a board game - I participated in board game groups and then started making Rainbow 35 and Animal Auction!
2. How did you get the idea for your game?
When I was an elementary school student, I hated to learn math because it was too difficult! My favourite subjects were Art and Physical Education, so I decided to make mathematicas more dynamic and colourful. I thought that if math is pretty and active, then children will develop an interest in it. This is why I made the game!
3. Can any age enjoy the game?
Yes! For younger ones, the main rule is to find a matching number. It's a good way to get children to recognise numbers. The older ones also like the game because there are one or two simple games without the complex mechanism.
5. Do you have plans for any more games?
We have a plan to launch new games. We have ideas for game which enable children to pick the game pieces by hand - this will be good for kids to improve their motor skills. Another is an abstract game - deep thought is required but the game rule is simple. We'd like to develop a family party game too!
